About

With your support, the McHenry County Conservation Foundation works to enhance and preserve open space in McHenry County for current residents and future generations. These contributions help strengthen the work of the Conservation District and its many partners, while also enhancing the health and vibrancy of our community and its residents.

Thanks to donor support, the Foundation has transferred more than 3.2-million-dollars to conservation entities across McHenry County, with nearly 3-million-dollars going directly to the District in support of its programs and work.  Additionally, in 2001 and 2007, the Foundation ran successful Open Space Bond Referendums, ultimately providing the District with 141.5-million-dollars in funds to purchase open space and manage it for the public benefit.

As the philanthropic partner of McHenry County Conservation District, the McHenry County Conservation Foundation is proud to play an active role in the protection of our county's natural resources by creating and fostering partnerships that promote community engagement and sound stewardship of our county's natural environments.
