What started as a simple concept to connect the citizens of McHenry County with the extensive bike trail system and the wonderful amenities of the Conservation District’s many natural areas, has turned into a favorite annual event. The first event was a modest bike ride that started and ended in Glacial Park. It since has evolved into a 3 length option pedal, a 6-mile paddle by canoe or kayak down the high-quality Grade A Nippersink Creek, along restored prairie and woodlands, and a horse ride through the beautiful Glacial Park.

Dozens of volunteers help each year to make this event safe and enjoyable for participants of all ages. After the activity of your choice, family and friends can relax and enjoy a home cooked pasta lunch while listening to live music.
